A GLP-1 in a once-daily tablet.
Foundayo™ is Eli Lilly's brand-name orforglipron, a once-daily oral GLP-1 receptor agonist. Unlike the peptide GLP-1s, orforglipron is a small molecule, which is what allows it to be taken as a tablet rather than an injection.
It is FDA-approved, alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, to help adults with obesity, or some adults with overweight who also have weight-related medical problems, to lose excess body weight. It should not be used with other orforglipron-containing products or with any other GLP-1 receptor agonist.
Indication and dosing information is taken from the manufacturer's prescribing information. Foundayo™ is a prescription medicine and is not right for everyone. A licensed provider decides whether it is appropriate for you.
While you wait, needle-free oral GLP-1.
telos rx already prescribes a compounded oral GLP-1, a sublingual tablet held under the tongue, through a licensed US compounding pharmacy. Your clinician chooses semaglutide or tirzepatide. No needle, one flat price that does not rise as your dose is titrated, quarterly labs included, and free 2-day shipping.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. Compounded oral glp-1 is not Foundayo™, and is not a generic or equivalent of it. It is a different medication in the same drug class (a GLP-1 receptor agonist), not the same active ingredient, prepared by a licensed US compounding pharmacy and prescribed at a clinician’s discretion.
