telos rx vs SpeedyHealth: Brand-Name and Compounded GLP-1 Compared

By telos rx Editorial Team August 27, 2026
Compounded tirzepatide vial, telos rx

SpeedyHealth sells brand-name, FDA-approved GLP-1s. telos rx sells compounded ones. That is the whole comparison in a sentence, and on the question of regulatory status their answer is the stronger one. This article says so plainly, then explains the pricing structure their headline figures do not show you, and where the two services genuinely diverge.

The short answer

If you want an FDA-approved medication and you can pay cash for it, SpeedyHealth is a legitimate route to Wegovy and Zepbound, and telos rx does not offer those today. If monthly cost is the constraint, our compounded semaglutide is as low as $99 per month against roughly $269 all-in for their Wegovy injection. Read the pricing section before you decide, because their advertised numbers exclude a separate monthly fee.

On FDA approval, they are right and we will not dress it up

SpeedyHealth's weight-loss catalogue is entirely brand-name: the Wegovy injection pen, the Zepbound injection pen, the oral Wegovy pill and Foundayo, Lilly's orforglipron tablet. They state that they only provide FDA-approved medications, and as far as we can see on their site that is accurate. Nothing compounded appears anywhere.

telos rx compounds. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved and are not evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality. That is a real difference in regulatory status, not a technicality. If it matters to you, it should decide this for you. We would rather you read that here than find it in the small print later.

For completeness, Zepbound and Foundayo are both listed as coming soon on telos rx, with a waitlist open. Neither is available from us today. What compounding buys right now is price and flexibility, which is the rest of this article.

Figures for both companies reflect publicly published pricing as checked in October 2026 and are subject to change. SpeedyHealth's medication prices are listed as “treatment from” figures.

The $69.99 that sits on top of the sticker price

SpeedyHealth's medication prices are quoted separately from their monthly fee. The homepage lists the Wegovy pen at $69.99 with the note “Treatment not included.” Their weight-loss page describes a fixed price of $69.99 per month, with refills issued automatically. So the Wegovy injection at $199 is realistically about $269 a month once the fee is added, and Zepbound at $299 is about $369.

That structure is not unusual, and it is disclosed on the weight-loss page. It sits a little awkwardly, though, against their FAQ answer that the price is all-inclusive and “what you see is what you pay.” Both statements can be defended in isolation. Together they make the real monthly figure harder to work out than it needs to be.

Two more things to establish before you commit. First, their weight-loss page says the pharmacy contacts you to place the medication order once a prescription is issued. Second, their prices are published as “treatment from” figures, and with brand-name GLP-1s the cost commonly changes as your dose escalates. We could not verify maintenance-dose pricing without going through their consultation. Ask them directly what month six looks like rather than assuming the entry price holds.

What SpeedyHealth genuinely does well

Several things deserve credit. The first is the obvious one: FDA-approved medication, dispensed through a named pharmacy. Their site identifies Honeybee Health in Los Angeles, which is more than most telehealth companies will tell you. They also name their lead physician.

The second is credentials. SpeedyHealth displays a LegitScript seal and states that it is NABP accredited for digital pharmacy. telos rx is LegitScript-certified too, so certification is not a point of difference between us.

The third is that they have a needle-free option that is also FDA-approved, in the oral Wegovy pill and Foundayo. Our own needle-free oral GLP-1, oral semaglutide or tirzepatide, starts from $9 a day. Their published entry figure, even with the fee added, sits below ours. On the needle-free question they are ahead on price and on regulatory status. If avoiding injections is your priority, look at them seriously, and compare it with our oral GLP-1 intake.

The fourth is that their cancellation terms are clean. You can cancel a subscription at any time without penalty, online or by email. Cancel before dispatch and that order cycle is refunded in full. After dispatch there are no refunds, which is standard for dispensed medication and not a mark against them.

A few things worth checking first

Their coverage is narrower than a national brand might suggest. Their terms and their FAQ both list 21 states. Check that yours is on the list before you get invested in the process.

Their weight-loss page leads with outcome figures drawn from manufacturer trials. We do not repeat those numbers here. Treat any headline figure as marketing rather than a forecast for you, because individual results vary.

On reputation, they hold a 4.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 1,038 reviews as of October 2026, which is a solid score. Their support team is available on weekdays during business hours, with messages outside those hours answered the next working day.

If FDA-approved is non-negotiable, choose them. If the monthly figure is what decides it, compounded semaglutide as low as $99 per month is roughly a third of their all-in Wegovy cost.

Where telos rx is genuinely different

Cost is the clearest gap. Our compounded semaglutide is as low as $99 per month and compounded tirzepatide is as low as $139 per month. No separate membership fee is stacked on top. Against roughly $269 and $369 all-in at SpeedyHealth, that is a different order of monthly commitment. It is the trade you make for a compounded rather than FDA-approved preparation.

The second gap is dose flexibility. Brand-name pens come in fixed manufacturer doses, so a microdosed protocol is not something SpeedyHealth can offer at any price. We offer microdosed tirzepatide as low as $116 per month. It suits people who want to start gently or who have struggled with side effects at standard doses.

The third is breadth in a different direction. SpeedyHealth covers a wide range of general conditions, such as ED, hair loss and common infections. telos rx goes deeper on metabolic and longevity care instead, with peptides including sermorelin, NAD+ and PT-141 alongside weight management.

The process is fully asynchronous. You complete a short online intake, about five minutes, and a US-licensed provider reviews it without an appointment. Every prescription is subject to medical approval by a licensed provider, and you pay nothing if you are declined. Quarterly labs, free two-day shipping and unlimited care-team messaging are included, and you can cancel anytime with no fee.

If you want neutral background on how these medications work, the NIDDK overview of prescription weight-management medications is a good place to start.

Frequently asked questions

Does SpeedyHealth sell real Wegovy and Zepbound?

Yes. Their weight-loss catalogue is brand-name and FDA-approved throughout, covering the Wegovy and Zepbound injection pens plus the oral Wegovy pill and Foundayo. They do not sell compounded medication. telos rx sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, which are not FDA-approved, so on regulatory status SpeedyHealth has the stronger position.

What does SpeedyHealth actually cost per month?

There are two parts. A fixed $69.99 monthly fee, plus the medication, which starts at $199 for the Wegovy injection and $299 for Zepbound. That is roughly $269 and $369 a month at entry pricing. Their prices are “treatment from” figures, so confirm what a maintenance dose costs before enrolling.

Does SpeedyHealth take insurance?

No. Their terms state they are not participating providers with any federal, state or commercial insurance program, and insurance may not be used to pay for their services. telos rx is also cash-pay, so neither service will bill your insurer.

Which is cheaper, telos rx or SpeedyHealth?

On injectables, telos rx, by a wide margin. Compounded semaglutide is as low as $99 per month against roughly $269 all-in for their Wegovy, and tirzepatide is as low as $139 against roughly $369 for Zepbound. On needle-free options their entry figure is lower than ours. Their oral tablets start at $149 plus the fee, while our oral GLP-1 starts from $9 a day.

Does either company offer a microdosed GLP-1?

Only telos rx, as low as $116 per month for microdosed tirzepatide. Brand-name pens are manufactured at fixed doses, so a microdosed protocol is not something a brand-name-only service can provide. Compounding is what makes the lower starting dose possible.

Can I get Zepbound or Foundayo through telos rx?

Not yet. Both are listed as coming soon on telos rx, with a waitlist open for each. Today we offer compounded tirzepatide and a needle-free oral GLP-1, subject to medical approval by a licensed provider. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.

Compounded medications, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, are not FDA-approved and are not evaluated by the FDA for safety, efficacy or quality. A prescription requires review and approval by a licensed provider, approval is never automatic, and individual results vary. telos rx is LegitScript-certified and operates as an online-first, asynchronous telehealth service. Pricing and site details for both companies reflect publicly available information as checked in October 2026 and are subject to change.
